Kristen earned her Masters Degree in Social Work from Boise State University. Kristen is passionate about children, adolescents, and adults. Kristen works from a strengths perspective and utilizes trauma-informed interventions as well as play therapy and sand tray with children. Kristen’s therapy approach is based on the individual client’s needs and goals. Kristen began her career as an elementary school teacher, teaching first grade and then kindergarten for many years. She then spent time working overseas in an aftercare program for underage trauma survivors before returning to the U.S. and pursuing her Masters degree. She values each client uniquely and desires to create a safe space for processing to take place and a strong therapeutic relationship to form. Kristen has experience working with children, teens, adults, dads/males, anxiety, depression, parenting support, play therapy, and trauma.
