Season Rose earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services from Purdue Fort Wayne and holds a Master of Science Education in Clinical Mental Health from Indiana University. Prior to graduation, Season worked as a counseling intern at a women’s transitional living and counseling center, as well as a medical clinic. Season’s view of counseling is holistic, recognizing the mind, body, and spirit connection in terms of wellness. Season utilizes theories such as Person Centered Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Season has level two training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy, and she has received training in EMDR therapy. Season believes the success of counseling revolves around building rapport with clients that includes trust, openness, and mutual respect. She strives to create an emotionally safe place for clients to process thoughts and feelings related to life’s challenges, as well as provide encouragement and accountability regarding personalized goals. Season encourages creativity incorporating therapeutic interventions specific to a client’s interests such as: art, music, and/or photography. Season has experience working with couples, teens, groups, relational issues, life transitions, anxiety, depression, trauma, coping with chronic pain, and grief/loss.
