Marlene Knispel

Marlene received a Masters in Clinical Counseling from the University of St. Francis in 1990. She has worked with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families. Marlene has over 30 years of clinical experience across a variety of settings including outpatient specialty clinics, crisis intervention, structured outpatient programs, inpatient psychiatric facilities, large non-profits, and private practice. She utilizes a variety of techniques and skills drawn from recognized therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused, Family Systems, Psychoeducation, Play Therapy, behavior modification, mindfulness and relaxation. Marlene believes in working in partnership with clients to utilize their strengths to help them sort out their challenges and achieve their goals. She also realizes how important it is to identify all aspects of an individual’s life that impact their well-being including their physical health, support systems (family, friends, etc.), work or school environment, and faith/spirituality in this process.
